Origin Cold was born in the engine rooms and frozen decks of the North Pacific longline fleet. Founded by a longline deckhand/assistant engineer, our company bridges the massive geographical gap between the world’s most pristine wild fisheries and Texas' premier culinary landscape.

We do not believe in broadline, industrial food distribution. Massive corporate suppliers routinely compromise the integrity of wild seafood by mixing catches, breaking cold-chain continuity, and masking the true origin of the product.

We operate differently. We are a lean, single-vessel sourcing pipeline.

Our inventory consists exclusively of premium, wild-caught Pacific Cod, Sablefish (Black Cod), and seasonal Alaskan species sourced directly from the specialized freezer-longliner fleet operating out of Dutch Harbor, Alaska. Because our fish is caught strictly via hook-and-line methods, it is brought aboard individually and completely free of the bruising, pressure damage, and stress typical of industrial net trawling.

Within minutes of harvest, the catch is processed and flash-frozen right on the vessel deck at sub-zero temperatures. This immediate preservation locks in the cellular structure, pristine texture, and natural moisture of the whitefish perfectly—maintaining its absolute peak quality all the way to its destination.
